Before you reserve a charter, please ensure you understand this policy. When you book a yacht with PublicInformationNet, it is an acknowledgement and acceptance of these refund conditions.

Standard Cancellation and Refund Policy

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: The entire amount refunded excluding service charges

Processing Time: 5-7 working days

Service Charge: €50 for card payments

Requirements: Requests need to be submitted by email or telephone in written form

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half of the complete charter fee

Processing Time: 7-10 working days

Service Charge: €25 will be subtracted from the refund amount

Stipulations: A cogent reason is necessary; administrative expenses will be applied

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: Refunds are not available

Exceptions: Cases of emergency might be taken into account

Alternatives: A credit for future charters may be provided at the discretion of the management

Documentation: Proof is required for emergency situations

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Ensuring safety is our foremost concern. In the event that our certified captain deems weather conditions as too hazardous for charter activities, guests have several flexible options:

  • Full Refund: Receive all your money back if it's not possible to find another date
  • Reschedule: Transfer your booking to another available date with no extra fee
  • Charter Credit: Obtain a credit valid for one year from the initial date of your charter

Weather Assessment Process

Our method for weather evaluation includes:

  • Evaluating wind conditions, both speed and direction
  • Assessing wave heights and oceanic conditions
  • Checking visibility and prediction of precipitation
  • Monitoring Coast Guard bulletins and alerts
  • Reviewing the safety analysis provided by our professional captain

Decision Timeline: The decision to cancel due to weather will be taken no more than 4 hours prior to the planned departure time.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Emergency Circumstances

We recognize unforeseen medical emergencies may arise. Cases that may be eligible for particular consideration involve:

  • An unexpected illness or injury that requires hospitalization
  • A death within the immediate family
  • An unforeseen military deployment or urgent recall
  • Being summoned for jury duty or to appear in court
  • Natural disaster impacting your ability to travel

Documentation Requirements

For processing requests of refunds due to emergencies, the following documents must be provided:

  • A medical certificate or documentation from a hospital
  • A death certificate, should it be relevant
  • Authenticated military orders
  • A notice of summoned jury duty or court appearance
  • Advisories regarding travel or declarations of an emergency state

Processing: Requests for emergency refunds are handled within a working window of 3-5 business days after we receive the appropriate documentation.

Operational Cancellations

Mechanical Issues

Should the ship allocated to you encounter unsolvable mechanical faults:

  • Alternative Vessel: An effort will be made to supply a comparable substitute
  • Full Refund: Offered when no appropriate replacement is found
  • Partial Refund: Given if the substitute ship has differencing rates
  • Compensation: Extra compensation might be provided to make up for the trouble

Crew Unavailability

On the rare occasion that the certified crew is not available:

  • A substitute crew will be sourced if feasible
  • A complete refund will be issued if the charter cannot go ahead
  • The option to reschedule at no additional charge

Payment Method

Reimbursements are issued back to the original form of payment:

  • Credit Cards: Within 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: Within 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Cheque: Within 3-5 business days

Bank Transfer Processing

€25 fee applicable to all bank transfer refunds

International Processing

Extra charges may be incurred for international operations

Charter Credits

When Credits Are Offered

Credits for charter might be proposed instead of refunds under some conditions:

  • Cancellations made at short notice (under 24 hours)
  • Cancellations due to adverse weather conditions
  • Requests to voluntarily change the booking to another time
  • Interruptions due to operational issues

Credit Terms

  • Validity: Usable for 12 months from the date of issuance
  • Transferability: Cannot be transferred to others
  • Value: Equal to the entire charter cost (exemption from processing charges)
  • Usage: May be redeemed on any available charter
  • Expiration: No extensions past the 12-month period

Partial Service Refunds

Service Interruptions

For charter disruptions or shortening due to our accountability:

  • Partial refund calculated on the basis of remaining time
  • Credit of equivalent value for a subsequent charter
  • Free additional services or upgrades

Guest-Related Interruptions

Should the charter be prematurely ended due to actions or safety infractions by guests:

  • No repayment for the unspent duration
  • Complete charge is still enforceable
  • Potential extra fees may be imposed

Dispute Resolution

In case of a disagreement over a refund judgement, options include:

  • Appeal for a reassessment from our management
  • Submission of extra documents or proof
  • Resolution attempts through consumer advocacy entities
  • Legal proceedings according to the law

We will confirm reception of your request within a day, evaluate it based on this policy, issue a decision within two days, and issue authorized refunds as per the timelines stated.

Important Notes

  • All refund requests must be made in written form
  • Reimbursements are made in € irrespective of the payment's initial currency
  • We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance
  • Policy modifications are communicated 30 days in advance
  • Refunds are subject to the relevant taxes and laws
